Protect yourself prior and during a Hurricane
- Posted on Thursday, May 30, 2013
No one can predict when or where weather events like a hurricane will occur. Meteorologists may offer some warning and do a great job of explaining the conditions that created the event. But that's little comfort to a business that finds its door closed for weeks because they didn't have a plan for weathering the storm in the first place.
Take advantage of the resources below to help your small business customers prepare for weather events like hurricanes.
•Disaster Preparedness for Businesses
•Preparing for a Hurricane
•Additional Resources (links to related organizations such as Red Cross, FEMA, etc)
Also remember that many commercial property policies do not provide coverage for flood. It's important that you speak with customers about purchasing a flood policy.
